Murray Grey Cattle are gentle and winners in the show ring. Vern's mother Barbara Noble loved the cows and continued to collect red and blue ribbons until her death in 2006.

She won the prestigious 'Get Of Sire' Award at the US National Murray Grey show at Spokane in September 2001. She displayed 3 animals, both sexes represented from the sire, Lindsay Starbright. These are genetics from Australia with first calves on the ground in North America in 2001. Barbara is the only Canadian breeder to have won this award.

The award was presented to her by her daughter Wendy at Barbara's birthday party in December, 2001.

Murray Grey cows are great mothers.

Vern did very well with this heifer in 2005. Raisin was Reserve Champion Yearling Heifer at the Alberta Murray Grey Open Show at the Calgary Stampede, Alberta.

Vern and Udo make a great pair.

We have been fortunate to show donkeys and cows at the same time period at the Stampede which makes for quite the family affair.

We believe that Murray Grey beef is the tastiest, most tender beef you will eat. Johnnie and Jack MacKenzie cook a hip every Canada Day.
